gWoman in the 16th and 17th Century had no choice but to wear long heavy floor length dresses. It's like almost every century there will be a form of a "Maxi". 1967 there was the Maxi dress,Coat and Skirt that stop at or above the ankle length. Today it worn to the floor in either solid colors or prints, wear it with a tank top, belt or with wedges. Dress it up or down!
